Class Description
A two-day workshop covering the basics of digital video production using Premiere 5.x. For anyone interested in learning how to use Premiere to edit, enhance, and/or produce digital videos for a variety of output formats (i.e. Broadcast, CD-ROM, Web etc..)
Specific topics covered in this class:
- The basics of video production and post-production
- The difference between online (precision) and offline (rough cut) editing
- The difference between editing analog and digital video
- The different video input and output formats (NTSC vs. PAL vs. SECAM) and how they affect the settings for your video project
- How to customize the Premiere work area to match your preferred work style
- Different ways to edit and preview in Premiere
- Adding and experimenting with transitions
- Adding, editing and modifying audio
- Creating titles & rolling credits
- Superimposing & compositing images
- Using Premiere to create motion graphics
